Roller Dollz Go Green for St. Patrick’s Day
The current, past, and future Roller Dollz as well as some loyal fans took a trip through Downtown Sioux Falls on St. Patrick's Day for the annual parade!
The Dollz Visit the Boys and Girls Club in Brookings
A group of Dollz spent Friday evening with the kids from the Boys and Girls Club in Brookings. What an awesome group of kids!
While they were there, they decided to drop off a check for $500 to the club!
Be sure to join us for our bout on Saturday, March 24th where our proceeds will go for another check to this group. It also gives us a chance to hang out with these kids again.
Staying Healthy Through Derby
Even though roller derby has a niche for growing self confidence, the only thing that might shrink when you join is your waistline! Summer is near and the Dollz have geared up for their sixth season, which helps keep their skaters and refs on track with their health.
“Since joining the Dollz, I’ve lost over 60 lbs. with a combination of diet and exercise,” says referee Erica Strata. “I can do things [now] that I haven’t done since college. Mentally and emotionally, I feel better about myself and as myself. I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin.” (more…)
